IT Assessment
A network security assessment for businesses that want a plain-language view of their network and firewalls: what's there, what's at risk and what to fix first.

The problem
You know something isn't right, but not what to fix first. Maybe an auditor or insurer is asking questions. Maybe you inherited a network nobody documented. Or a vendor is telling you to replace everything.
What we do
- Inventory the network and security gear and licenses you already have, and how they're set up.
- Review firewall rules, VPN access (including vendor and third-party access) and segmentation, and write up the findings.
- Check core services that often get missed: DNS, DHCP, IP address management, email security records, certificates and routing.
- Fix or flag misconfigurations first, and turn on features you're already paying for, before talking about new equipment.
- Assess your network against NIST guidance when you need it. This is an assessment aligned to NIST guidance, not a certification or compliance attestation.
- Write findings in plain language, with a prioritized remediation plan.
PCI DSS readiness review
We check your network and controls against PCI DSS requirements and give you a gap list before your formal assessment. We are not a QSA and do not perform certification audits.
The review is led by a CISSP-credentialed engineer, so findings rest on established security-control knowledge.
Deliverables
- Written findings report, ranked by risk and effort
- Prioritized remediation roadmap: fix now, fix next, plan for
- "Keep, optimize or replace" call on each major device, with reasons
- For a PCI DSS readiness review: a gap list
- Optional walkthrough call with your team or your auditor
FAQ
What does a network security assessment include?
An inventory of your network and security gear, a firewall rule and VPN access review, a check of DNS, DHCP and routing, and a written report with a prioritized fix list.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of your network. We give you the scope and timeline in writing before we start.
Will you tell me what to keep and what to replace?
Yes. Every major device gets a "keep, optimize or replace" call with the reason. We recommend replacement only when what you have can't do the job.
Can you help me answer an auditor's or insurer's questions?
Yes. We prepare findings reports your auditor or insurer can follow, and we can walk them through it. If you need it, we can align the assessment to NIST guidance. That's an assessment, not a certification or compliance attestation.
Are you a PCI assessor?
No. We are not a QSA and do not perform certification audits. We run a readiness review and give you a gap list before your formal assessment.
